Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Officially Announced With Co-op And The Return Of An Iconic Series Villain
- AYG -Activision and Treyarch studio presented the next part of the cult franchise — Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. The game will be a direct continuation of Black Ops 2, released in 2012, and will return players to the universe, where chaos and technological wars have put humanity on the brink of survival. The action will take place in 2035, and the main character will be the character played by actor Milo Ventimiglia, known for the series “Heroes”.
Particular attention was attracted by the return in the form of a digital avatar of Raul Menendez — the antagonist from Black Ops 2, whose actions will again create a threat on a global scale. The developers confirmed that for the first time in a long time, jetpacks and wall-running mechanics will appear in the series, and combat robots will be among the opponents along with people. Another new feature will be a cooperative campaign mode, allowing you to go through the story with friends.
The cast is rounded out by Kiernan Shipka (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) as operative Emma Kagen and Michael Rooker (The Walking Dead), reprising his role as Mike Harper, David Mason’s ally. The plot follows an elite Black Ops squad as they battle a mysterious enemy who uses fear as a weapon.
The title is set to release in the fall of 2025 on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and via Game Pass. A full gameplay reveal will take place in the summer, where the developers will reveal additional details.
