Blade Runner Game From Until Dawn Creators Cancelled
- AYG -Supermassive Games, the studio known for the horror Until Dawn, has interrupted the production of the unannounced title Blade Runner: Time to Live, a cinematic game in the Blade Runner universe. Development started in the fall of 2024, but was stopped at the request of the franchise’s copyright holder without explanation.
The game was supposed to take gamers to 2065, where they had to take on the role of a Nexus-6 replicant with an abnormally long lifespan. The plot was built around a mission to eliminate the leader of the replicant rebels, which turns into betrayal. The key elements of the gameplay were combat, stealth movement, exploration of the world, and detective investigations.

The project’s budget was estimated at $45 million, and the release was planned for 2027. Despite the cancellation, insiders note that the concept looked promising and could become a notable event in the genre. This is not the first failure for Supermassive Games after a series of mediocre interactive horror games that followed the success of Until Dawn. Now the studio will have to reconsider its plans and focus on new projects.
