Bethesda Releases The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remaster Immediately After Announcement
- AYG -Bethesda presented and immediately released an updated version of the classic RPG TES IV: Oblivion. The project, which was worked on by Virtuos studio, has significant visual improvements thanks to the use of Unreal Engine 5, although the original Creation Engine also remained at the core of the project.
The title has already been released on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and via Game Pass. The basic version costs $49.99, and the Deluxe edition for $59.99 includes additional armor and weapon packs, exclusive quests, a digital artbook and a soundtrack. All official DLCs – Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine – are also included in the re-release.

Among the key changes are improved lighting, reworked lip synchronization of characters and updated sound effects. The developers retained the original dialogues, adding several new lines. Gameplay changes affected the controls, interface and combat mechanics, which have become more dynamic. Sprinting was added to the game, although this decision caused controversy within the team. Mini-games such as lockpicking remained largely unchanged.
