Battlefield 6 won’t repeat the mistake of Battlefield 2042 – the new shooter will receive a record budget and undergo a lot of testing

The upcoming game Battlefield 6 promises to be one of the best in the series, if we are to believe the statements of Electronic Arts. According to the well-known insider Tom Henderson, the developers are trying to avoid the mistakes made in Battlefield 2042, and are ready to invest the largest budget in the history of the series in the new project.

What is even more important is that a huge amount of testing is being carried out on the game, and the amount of data and reviews from players has already set records for the series. The authors emphasize the opinions of fans and want to follow the “player first” approach. At the beginning of 2025, the company will conduct a large-scale testing of the title, but the format in which it will be organized has not yet been disclosed.

Four companies are working on the shooter at once: DICE, EA Motive, Criterion Games and Ripple Effect. According to the first data, the game will return to its roots: it will support 64 players, four classes and full destructibility of the environment. The release of Battlefield 6 is expected in the fall of 2025.
