Ayaneo Announces Flagship Pocket S2 Portable Console with Snapdragon G3 Gen 3

The manufacturer has confirmed the release date of its new portable gaming console Pocket S2 — the release will take place today, June 18, 2025. The device will be among the first on the market equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 chipset, which, according to the manufacturer, guarantees 30% higher CPU performance and 28% more power compared to the previous generation.

Pocket S2 received significant hardware improvements: a 6.3-inch IPS-screen Quad HD+ (2560×1440) and a maximum brightness of 600 nits, a battery with an increased capacity of 8000 mAh and modern components — LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 drives in top configurations. The heat dissipation system has been completely redesigned for stable operation under load, and the case combines a metal frame made on CNC machines with electromagnetic joysticks for increased input accuracy.

The first demonstrations of the gadget took place at the Game Developers Conference at the beginning of the year, but now the manufacturer has revealed the main characteristics. The estimated price of the basic version of the Pocket S2 will be about $ 600, although the final cost of various configurations has not yet been announced. The new product is positioned as a flagship portable gaming device capable of competing with the best solutions on the market.
