Assassin’s Creed: Shadows Rated 18+ Due to Violence and Sexual Content

Two weeks before the release, the action game received an M18 age rating in Singapore. The decision is related to the high level of violence and the presence of intimate content in the game.

According to the regulator, battles are accompanied by bloodshed, and a number of weapons allow you to dismember opponents and even decapitate them. One of the most brutal cutscenes shows a severed head, and in other episodes, characters die from gunshots and other types of attacks. The game will also provide the opportunity to enter into romantic relationships, but intimate scenes are limited to kisses, after which the display darkens.

The gameplay offers the ability to switch between two protagonists – Yasuke and Naoe, each of whom has a unique fighting style and weapons. In battles, you can use katanas, combat clubs, spears, shurikens, kunai and scythes, as well as use explosives to eliminate opponents. Each weapon has its own skill tree, allowing you to develop combat abilities. In addition, the game features a spy system that can be used to collect intelligence and bribe officials.

The new part of Assassin’s Creed will be available on March 20 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
