Apple Revises Foldable iPhone Concept: New Details from Insider

Analyst Ross Young, head of Display Supply Chain Consultants, shared information about possible changes in the development of the foldable iPhone. Earlier it was reported that the smartphone will be made in a clamshell format, similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip. However, according to the latest data, Apple is focusing on a book design, like the Galaxy Z Fold.

This decision is explained by the growing demand for devices with large screens, which is confirmed by the increase in the diagonal of the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max models. This approach will allow Apple to integrate into the segment of devices for multimedia and work tasks, where maximum screen area is important.

The debut foldable iPhone is expected to be released in the second half of 2026. It is expected that its release will act as a catalyst for the growth of the foldable device market by 30% in the first year, and then about 20% every year.
