Amazon Orders Two Seasons of God of War Series

The streaming service is clearly confident in the success of the upcoming adaptation of the game – it became known that the show immediately received an order for two seasons. The information was confirmed by screenwriter and producer Ronald D. Moore, who is now heading the project.

In a recent interview, he said that he is actively working on the adaptation of the cult game and is already participating in discussions with the script team. Moore also noted that he personally got acquainted with God of War (2018), but encountered difficulties due to the unusual fast gameplay for him.

Recall that initially the showrunner of the series was Rafe Judkins, but after the restart of production, he left the project. Ronald D. Moore, known for his work on the series “Battlestar Galactica” and “For All Mankind”, was invited to take his place.

It is not yet known when the series will be released, but given the confirmation of two seasons, we can expect a large-scale adaptation covering several chapters of Kratos’s story at once.
