Amazon Mass Effect Plot Details Leak Online

Production Weekly has published a preliminary synopsis of the upcoming Mass Effect series, which is being developed by Amazon Studios. According to the data, the plot of the adaptation will be as close as possible to the original trilogy of games.

The main character will remain Captain Shepard, an elite soldier of the Systems Alliance, investigating the conspiracy of the former Spectre Saren, who has entered into an alliance with the Reapers. Together with a diverse team on board the Normandy, Shepard will have to prevent the return of an ancient synthetic race that threatens the destruction of all intelligent life in the galaxy.

Despite the lack of official confirmation from Amazon, the leak has sparked a lively discussion among fans of the franchise. Unlike many other video game adaptations, the Mass Effect series may retain not only the atmosphere, but also key plot elements of the original. At the moment, the studio has not disclosed information about the casting and specific production dates. It is only known that the showrunner of the project will be Doug Jung (Mindhunter), and the script will be written by Daniel Casey (10 Cloverfield Lane, Fast and Furious 9).
