Alexander Nevsky to Direct Film Inspired by Serious Sam

Video game adaptations have long been a popular trend in the film industry. However, the recently announced news attracted attention with its unconventional approach: Alexander Nevsky, a famous actor and producer, announced plans to make a film based on the cult shooter Serious Sam.

As Nevsky himself said, the film will not be a direct adaptation of the original game, since he was unable to acquire the rights to use the plot and characters from the Croteam studio. Instead, the center of events will be a new hero – Serious Nevsky, who will have to fight alien invaders.

The script for the film is still in development, and the premiere date remains unknown. Considering the actor’s current projects – the westerns The Wide West and The Last Heroes of Rio Bravo – one cannot count on the imminent release of a sci-fi action movie.
