AirPods to Get Health Monitoring Features and Additional Technologies

Apple is actively developing its line of TWS headphones, planning to introduce functions that will allow tracking the physiological parameters of users. According to Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman, Apple developers are testing new technologies, including heart rate monitoring, body temperature measurement, and monitoring other health indicators.

The main focus is on creating a system that will allow headphones to accurately measure heart rate (HR). It is expected that such functions may appear in the next AirPods Pro models.

In addition, Apple is again considering the possibility of equipping headphones with cameras. This project was previously suspended, but with the development of artificial intelligence technologies, work on it has resumed.

AirPods with new capabilities are expected to go on sale no earlier than 2027.
