A video has appeared comparing the newly released S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone — Enhanced Edition with the original trilogy

The classic S.T.A.L.K.E.R. trilogy, including Shadow of Chernobyl, Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat, has been revived in the form of the updated Legends of the Zone — Enhanced Edition. Following the recent release on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on May 20, 2024, renowned YouTube analyst ElAnalistaDeBits has conducted a detailed comparison of the original and updated versions of the cult shooters.

Visual improvements in the Enhanced Edition include reworked global illumination, improved special effects and increased draw distance. Some locations have received new color correction, which gives the familiar landscapes of the Exclusion Zone an unexpected sound. The changes are especially noticeable in scenes with dynamic lighting and atmospheric effects, where the updated version demonstrates significant progress compared to the originals.

Owners of previous versions of the games on PC will have access to the Enhanced Trilogy for free via Steam, GOG and EGS. This large-scale visual upgrade allows a new generation of players to appreciate the legendary atmosphere of the series with a modern level of graphics, while preserving the unique gameplay and storylines that made the franchise iconic.
